Volunteering at St. Luke’s University Health Network is more than just providing a service; it is making a difference in the daily lives of our patients, staff and visitors. Our Volunteers are integral to St. Luke’s, brightening the day of our patients, assisting our patients and visitors to navigate the hospital and assisting staff with various requests. Our Volunteers’ gracious efforts do not go unnoticed at St. Luke’s. Volunteers joining our team are recognized and appreciated for their contributions to our organization with discounts and/ or access to various St. Luke’s programs (including our Fitness Centers), delicious meals in the cafeteria and department and hospital recognition events

At St. Luke’s, we work hard to connect you to areas of most interest to you where you can use your talents and skills! Here is a brief overview of key areas where we need YOUR help: Working with patients: Make a difference with our patients by socializing and helping to make their stay more comfortable. Also, assist staff with supportive duties in our Ambulatory Surgical Center, GI Lab, Emergency Department or as a Patient Advocate (in-patient units). Working with patients, staff and/or visitors: Volunteers in the Gift Shop assist customers with purchases to help raise funds for well-needed programs. Patient Information Center volunteers welcome those entering or calling our hospital. Volunteer Escorts discharge patients, deliver flowers, run various errands throughout the hospital and more! Working only with staff: Volunteers provide our staff with well-needed support throughout many areas and departments of the Hospital and outpatient offices by performing clerical/supportive work.
