Inventory Control Specialist

Job Description
The successful candidate in this position is responsible for inventory control measures related to: incoming and outgoing materials, stock/inventory calculating, and processing returns. This individual works closely with vendors, suppliers, purchasing and our finance department to keep our stock at optimal levels.
Essential duties include:
Verifying incoming orders for accuracy 
Ensuring accuracy of material loaded on delivery vehicles prior to departure
Monitoring supply levels to ensure warehouse has necessary materials to load and deliver to jobsite destination on time
Develop and maintain inventory control measures to reduce excess, make use of excess material from jobsite
Ensuring accuracy of data in PIMS to include reduction of negative inventory while monitoring inventory transfers 
Coordinating physical inventory with all departments involved 
Office & Computer Skills Required
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
Internet 
PIMS or knowledge of inventory software, ERP, MRP
Outlook Email 
Education & Experience: 
BA/BS or Associates Degree preferred
HS graduate or equivalent *required 
Related experience including: warehouse, accounting, supply chain, logistics, inventory management and control experience 
Position details:
First Shift (daytime hours), some weekends and evening may apply
Strong organizational skills 
Time management and the ability to prioritize workload
Ability to work under minimal supervision 
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyze and propose changes conducive to eliminating repetitive tasks and streamlining workflow
Physical Requirements 
Sitting for long periods of time at your workstation using the computer 
Walking, primarily in the office or warehouse; occasional walking outside in the elements 
Visual acuity for reading at your computer and workstation 
Climbing stairs
Ability to lift 75 lbs
Ability to operate office equipment 
Ability to operate a forklift
