National Civics Bee® - Live Local Event

The Competition is ON! The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the first annual Schuylkill County local competition for the National Civics Bee®!

Students from across the county and nearby areas will put their civic knowledge to the test in this live quiz event on April 16 at Penn State Schuylkill!

Middle school students throughout the county submitted essays detailing how they would use civics to improve our community. These essays were judged by a national panel of volunteer judges and the top twenty finalists from our area were selected to compete in the 2025 National Civics Bee®!

The live competition on April 16 will consist of two rounds of multiple choice questioning where the finalists will compete for an opportunity to advance to round three. In round three, finalists will answer questions from judges related to their essay submissions. At the conclusion of the third round, the top three finalists will be announced and receive cash prizes and the opportunity to advance to the state competition!
