Position Summary:
Responsible for inventory control measures related to incoming and outgoing materials, stock/inventory counting, and returns. Works closely with vendors, suppliers, and the purchasing and finance department to keep stock at optimal levels.
Location: Schuylkill Haven, PA Office
Position Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
• Verifies incoming orders for accuracy from suppliers and vendors
• Ensures accuracy of material loaded on delivery trucks before departure
• Monitor supply levels to ensure WH has all necessary materials to load and deliver to the jobsite on time
• Develop and maintain inventory control measures to reduce excess, and make use of excess material from jobsites
• Ensure accuracy of data in PIMS to include reducing negative inventory, and monitor inventory transfers
• Coordinate physical inventory with all departments involved
• Weekly cycle counts on materials
• Check materials for accurate ship dates
• Rotate stock as new materials arrive
• Make decisions on jobs that go on hold to prevent aging
Education / Experience :
• Warehouse experience
• Accounting experience
• Inventory Management and Control experience
Knowledge / Skills Required :
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
• Internet
• PIMS or knowledge of Inventory software, ERP, MRP
• Office email
Position Details :
• Flexible to be able to switch work priorities
• First (daytime) shift hours, some weekends, and evenings may apply
• Must be organized and be able to prioritize and work under minimal supervision
• Must have strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to analyze and propose changes conducive to eliminating or reducing repetitive tasks, streamlining workflow
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Work with warehouse operations managers
• All other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements :
• Walking, primarily in office/warehouse; occasional walking outside in elements
• Climbing stairs
• Visual acuity for reading, computer workstation
• Ability to lift to 75 lbs.
• Ability to operate office equipment
• Ability to operate a forklift
