Johnson College delivers real-world, hands-on learning in a supportive environment, preparing graduates to enter or advance in high-demand technical careers. Founded in 1912, it remains the region’s only two-year technical college, offering 14 associate degree programs, five academic certificates, more than 30 continuing education opportunities, and customized workforce training for local industries. While the College’s main campus is in Scranton, it extends its vital technical education to the greater Hazleton area and Schuylkill County through its satellite campus at 370 Maplewood Drive in Hazle Township, located in the Humboldt Industrial Park. This location increases educational access for students and employers in that region while maintaining the College’s hallmark low student-to-instructor ratio and strong emphasis on practical, hands-on instruction.
